Presenting at Mental Health Conference!

Henry was honored to deliver his first conference and post-graduation speaking engagement in June 2024, at the Ohio School-Based Center of Excellence for Prevention and Early Intervention (SBCOE) 2024 School SUCCESS Conference. In his session, titled “Unlocking Your Story: The Invisible Burden of Stigma and How a Kid from New Jersey Broke Out,” Henry explored three key topics: his journey with childhood trauma and mental health, trends and causes of students’ mental health struggles, and evidence-based strategies for schools to promote student well-being.

Henry was deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute to these vital conversations on mental health and supporting students. The conference was a fantastic opportunity for Henry to share his story and reinforce the importance of promoting mental health resources and accessibility in communities. He emphasized that we can continue to dismantle the stigma and support each other.

For Henry, this is just the beginning. He looks forward to continuing his journey and contributing to more conversations and initiatives in the future. Delivering a presentation at the conference was a major milestone for him, allowing him to shed light on mental health struggles and provide a voice for others who may still be searching for their own. These opportunities reinforced for Henry how important it is to create safe spaces where people feel comfortable discussing their mental health, and he expressed a strong desire to continue this work on a larger scale.
